Scores killed in blasts in two Iraqi cities

A series of bomb blasts has killed more than 50 people near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul and in Baghdad, the Iraqi capital.

The attacks came less than 24 hours the government began removing protective blast walls around the capital.

As Al Jazeera’s Hoda Abdel Hamid reports, the bombings underscore the violence that still plagues the country following the pull back of US troops from Iraq’s major cities.
