El Salvador is about to elect its president. For the first time since the civil war ended in 1992, a left-wing candidate is leading the opinion polls – former rebel Mauricio Funes.

During the war, the rebel movement used the radio to promote its cause. Now the left wing is using El Salvador’s airwaves again, but this time to promote a peaceful message of change.

Al Jazeera’s Mariana Sanchez reports.
