Civilians killed after fighting at Mogadishu airport
Fierce battles have broken out around Mogadishu’s main airport. Opposition fighters attacked an aircraft carrying African Union peacekeepers.
The group had threatened to attack anyone using the airport. No one was killed in that attack but 15 civilians were killed in the fighting that followed.
