Tbilisi and Moscow have reached a ceasefire deal aimed at ending their conflict over Georgia’s breakaway region of South Ossetia.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgia’s president, said he had been left with no choice but to take on the Russian army.
