At the International Islamic Climate Change Symposium, religious and political leaders call on Muslims to live greener
Prominent Islamic scholars and political leaders will issue a call on Tuesday for the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims to take part in combating climate change.
The declaration will take place at the conclusion of the International Islamic Climate Change Symposium, taking place in Istanbul. The Symposium is attended by religious leaders such as the Grand Muftis of Uganda and Lebanon, as well as representatives from several governments, the UN and numerous climate change organizations.
Many on Twitter discussed the symposium and the relationship between their faith and climate action using #Muslims4Climate.
