‘I Hate Gays Because’ hashtag overtaken by LGBT supporters

Brazilians helped an anti-gay hashtag trend worldwide on Monday, but largely because of backlash.
#OdeioGaysPorque (“I Hate Gays Because”) received more than 42,000 mentions on Twitter. @Hhafael responded with the above photo, which was shared more than 2000 times.
His caption reads: “There are those who hate us, but we love one another. #OdeioGaysPorque”.
Most of the commenters took to the hashtag to criticise its use.
