Israel pounds northern Gaza with dozens of bombs in new intense assault

Israeli forces have been bombarding the northern half of the Gaza Strip. Around 40 bombs were dropped on Beit Hanoun on Saturday, while a building near the Islamic University in Gaza City was blown up.
