Zohran Mamdani elected New York mayor – vows to serve all communities

Zohran Mamdani has been elected as New York City’s first Muslim mayor. Mamdani said his victory put power in the hands of ordinary New Yorkers and vowed to serve all of the city’s communities. He also pledged to challenge the policies of President Donald Trump.
