US strikes alleged ‘narcoboat’ with threat to widen attacks on cartels

The United States has launched an airstrike on what it said was a drug-smuggling boat off the coast of South America. It was the eighth such attack, but the first in the Pacific Ocean. US President Donald Trump has warned he may expand the campaign against Latin American drug cartels.
