US dismisses Israeli parliament vote on annexing occupied West Bank

Israel’s parliament has given preliminary approval to a bill to impose Israeli sovereignty on the occupied West Bank, and to effectively annex the Palestinian territory. The US Vice-President JD Vance, who was visiting Israel, called it a “stupid” political stunt.
