Hurricane Irma makes its way through the Bahamas

The Bahamas is now bearing the brunt of Hurricane Irma, with the government ordering large-scale evacuations from the southern islands and the closure of several airports.

Most residents took the warnings seriously this time around remembering the damages wrought by Hurricane Matthew last year.
