    US Vice President Mike Pence is in Chile as part of his tour of Latin American countries to promote harsher regional measures against Venezuela.

    The South American country has seen near-daily demonstrations, with pro- and anti-government protesters taking to the streets since the end of the March.

    The US has described Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's government as a “dictatorship”.
