Argentinians have voted in mid-term primary elections, which have been billed as a comeback opportunity for former president Cristina Kirchner.

She’s standing in Buenos Aires province, the country’s largest with 40 percent of the electorate.

But while all eyes were on her, President Mauricio Marci’s party appeared to win sweeping victories in the rest of the country.
