    Saturday was Armed Forces Day in Venezuela, commemorating those who played a crucial role in former leader Hugo Chavez's socialist revolution.

    But the celebrations were marred by the country’s severe economic crisis, as thousands took to the streets to demand the military rise up against the government of President Nicolas Maduro.
