The release of former FBI director James Comey’s prepared testimony has increased suspicions that US President Donald Trump had reportedly tried to obstruct an investigation into Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Earlier, during a Senate hearing, senior intelligence officials refused to answer questions on whether Trump had applied pressure on them.
