French election: Le Pen, Macron gear up for final TV debate

It has been the most closely followed French election in years and millions of people are expected to watch the final TV debate between centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right leader Marine Le Pen.

    It has been the most closely followed French election in years and millions of people are expected to watch the final TV debate between centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right leader Marine Le Pen.

    Opinion polls have consistently predicted Macron defeating his rival in the run-off vote on May 7.
