A federal judge in Hawaii has put President Donald Trump's revised travel ban on hold, issuing an emergency halt to the order just hours before it was to go into effect.

Trump said the decision is politically motivated and has pledged to take his second legal defeat to the Supreme Court.

Two other states are also hearing petitions against the executive order.
