The Australian government is due to release its final report into alleged mistreatment of indigenous children in prisons in the Northern Territory.

An inquiry was opened last year after videos emerged apparently showing youngsters being abused and tortured by guards.

The investigation has put the treatment of aborigines and their high imprisonment rate under the spotlight.

Al Jazeera's Andrew Thomas reports from Darwin.
