UK assists Peshmerga in fight against ISIL

Kurdish forces say more British assistance is needed in their battle against Sunni group.

    The British Defence Secretary, Michael Fallon, has visited Kurdish forces in Northern Iraq.

    His soldiers are training the Peshmerga and supplying them with heavy weapons.
     
    It has helped Kurdish forces make recent gains against ISIL.
