Palestine film wins Qatar documentary prize

Film about childhood memories of a group of French citizens who lived in Palestine grabs top honours at film festival.

    The Palestinian struggle was the overarching theme of the recently-concluded 10th Al Jazeera Documentary Film Festival in Qatar.

    The film, “Encounter with A Lost Land”, about the childhood memories of a group of French citizens who lived in Palestine before the creation of Israel, was awarded the top prize.

    Filmmakers from over 90 countries took part in the event, which featured160 films.

    Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall reports from Doha.
