Gaza residents discover scenes of devastation

Residents of northern Gaza returned briefly to their homes to retrieve whatever belongings they could carry.

    Gazans have been using the lull in the fighting to search for loved ones, and their belongings. Entire neighbourhoods lay in ruin after air strikes and shelling from Israeli tanks. Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports from Shujaeya in Gaza.
