US prepares for possible Iraq air strikes

Obama yet to take decision as senators warn of dangerous consequences for US if situation continues to deteriorate.

    The US has prepared an aircraft carrier for potential air strikes against fighters in Iraq to help shore up the government. US senators have been warning of dire consequences if the situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate.
