Yemen army recaptures al-Qaeda stronghold

Government troops recapture major al-Qaeda stronghold in Shabwa province following a decisive fight.

    The Yemeni army says it has recaptured a major al-Qaeda stronghold in Shabwa province.

    More troops have now been deployed in what the government has described as "a decisive battle".

    Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra reports from the capital, Sanaa.
