Abdullah al-Shami: 77 days on hunger strike

Al Jazeera Arabic journalist has been imprisoned without trial since August and his health is deteriorating.

Al Jazeera Arabic’s Abdullah al-Shami has been in jail without trial since last August, and after 76 days on hunger strike, his health is deteriorating.

His brother, Mohammed al-Shami, has called for his release.

Meanwhile the trial of Peter Greste, Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohammed, who have now been imprisoned in Egypt for 100 days, has been adjourned until April 10.

They are accused of providing a platform to the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood.

Al Jazeera rejects all the charges against its journlists, and is demanding their immediate release.
