For years Turkey barely acknowledged the autonomous region beyond its southern border, but now they are trade partners.

    For years, Turkey barely acknowledged the autonomous Kurdish region across its southern border. 

    But these days, Turkey is investing heavily in the oil-fuelled economy of Iraqi Kurdistan.
