Israel dumps on Palestinian rubbish depot

Municipal site in the West Bank was performing a necessary function before Israel closed it citing pollution as reason.

The municipal dump near Al Bireh, in the occupied West Bank, was performing a necessary function.

Israel closed it, saying it was polluting the land and the air. Local Palestinians say the real reason for its closure is a nearby settlement that wants to take over the land.

Al Jazeera's Peter Sharp reports from the West Bank.
