Rebels battle for control of Syria's Deraa

Fighting rages on for strategically located city between Jordan and Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

    Syrian rebels say they have captured a series of military checkpoints in Deraa, which would enable them to control who goes in and out of the southern city.

    It is located in a sensitive area near the Jordanian border, with the nearby Golan Heights occupied by Israel.

    Al Jazeera's Imran Khan reports.
