Iran reformist candidate receives backing

Former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has officially endorsed Hassan Rouhani in Friday's presidential poll.

    Iran's former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has officially endorsed his moderate ally in Friday's presidential election.

    Rafsanjani says Hassan Rouhani is the most suitable candidate, but he faces five conservative opponents in the polls.
