Hamas takes military training to schools

Government says army training will only prepare youth to defend themselves against any future Israeli invasion.

The Hamas government in Gaza is giving boys in state schools military-style training once a week.

It starts with drills, and eventually they graduate to training using guns.

Not everyone is happy about this development, with some critics saying that Gazan youth are exposed to enough violence without being trained for it in school.
