Battered Syrian town still defiant against Assad

Despite the Syrian army's onslaught, the people of Taftanaz continue to support the uprising.

The Syrian army and its Shabiha paramilitaries have hit Taftanaz hard, targeting community leaders, families and businesses.

But it has changed little on the ground.

Support for the uprising is as strong as it ever was, and these people are even less minded to talk reconciliation.

Al Jazeera's Anita McNaught reports from Taftanaz.
