Hamas reacts to findings on Gaza flotilla raid

Hamas movement rejects finding by UN report that Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip is lawful.

    Turkey has expelled Israel's ambassador and cut military ties after failing to get an apology over last year's Gaza flotilla raid.

    The announcement came ahead of the publication of a United Nations report into the attack.

    An early copy seen by Al Jazeera reproaches Israel for using excessive force - but also criticises some of those onboard for violent resistance.

    Israel has yet to officially respond to the findings, however, Hamas, the movement which controls Gaza, has.

    Ahmed Youssef, a high-ranking Hamas official, told Al Jazeera that he rejected the finding that Israel's blockade on the territory was lawful.
