Ukraine struggles to restore peace in east

    Ukraine’s government has repeated its promises to regain control over its embattled eastern region.

    Violence in eastern Ukraine has been escalating, as pro-Russia rebels and government troops continue their battle for control of the Donetsk airport.

    The government claims that fighters keep entering eastern Ukraine from Russia.

    Al Jazeera’s Paul Brennan reports from Donetsk.
