Syrian chemical cargo moved to US vessel

Containers carrying hundreds of tonnes of chemical weapons loaded onto navy ship for destruction at sea.

    An international operation to destroy Syria's chemical weapons stockpile is nearing its final stages.

    More than 1,300 tonnes of toxic chemicals were being carefully moved onto a US navy ship in southern Italy in an unprecedented transfer. They will then be taken to international waters for destruction.
