Locals fear Ukraine border military build-up

Villagers on Ukrainian side concerned they will be unable to see relatives in Russia as tensions continue to build.

Villagers near Ukraine's border with Russia say they fear they will be cut off from relatives in Russia, as troops from both countries increase their presence near the frontier.

Moscow conducted sudden military exercises near the border on Friday in response to a Ukrainian crackdown on armed pro-Russia protesters.

Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel-Hamid reports from the border.
