Danes top EU list for violence against women

More than half of female population have experienced physical or sexual abuse, the highest percentage in the EU.

A report by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights has shown more than half of Danish women have experienced physical abuse at the hands of men.

Across the 28 EU member states, Denmark reported 52 percent of women suffering from violence, the highest percentage in the bloc.
