Crimea prepares for vote on secession

Referendum to decide whether region will become part of Russia has been denounced by Kiev as illegitimate.

A week from today, people in Crimea will vote to decide whether the region will leave Ukraine and become part of Russia.

The vote has been denounced as illegitimate by some observers, and even as "treason" by others.

But the Crimean Parliament is in no hurry to compromise.
