Violence breaks out at far-right Vienna ball

Protest against the guests of the annual 'Academics' Ball' turns into a violent street battle.

    Violence has broken out in Austria's capital outside a ball organised by a right-wing political party, leading to several arrests and injuries. 

    Thousands of people took to the streets to protest against the presence of the guests at the so-called Academics' Ball in their city on Saturday, but the protest turned into running street battles in Vienna.

    Police officers were injured, and several people were arrested.
