Putin delivers state of the union address

    Vladimir Putin has given his annual state-of-the nation address.

    The Russian president talked for more than an hour, in a wide-ranging speech to both houses of parliament.

    He defended conservative values and commented on the situation in Ukraine, Syria and Iran.
