Nuclear option review divides UK government

A political dispute is brewing in the UK over the future of its nuclear weapons programme.

Submarines armed with Trident missiles provide round the clock defence and that is the way the Conservative-led government wants it to stay.

But its junior coalition partners, the Liberal Democrats, have other ideas.
