Security stepped up at UK mosques

Security at vulnerable Islamic sites tightened due to recent rise in anti-Muslim incidents in London.

UK police are stepping up their presence around mosques after a number of anti-Muslim incidents.

It follows an arson attack on an Islamic Centre in London last week and a fire at an Islamic boarding school.

Police are reassuring Muslims that potential targets will be safe, amid allegations they have been too slow to protect the community from attack.
