Germany sees drop in new E. coli infections
German health minister says E. coli outbreak has peaked but still warns against use of raw vegetables.

Daniel Bah, the German health minister, has said the number of new infections from the E. coli strain of bacteria is dropping.
The note of optimism comes as health officials from Germany and the European Union held crisis talks in Berlin.
But the authorities maintain their warning against eating raw vegetables, leaving many farmers in financial and emotional limbo.
