Economic forum kicks off in Davos

Leaders begin arriving at the Swiss resort as five-day summit begins with focus on recovery after the global downturn.


    Global leaders from business to politics are flying in to the Swiss resort of Davos as the World Economic Forum begins.

    The five-day event is expected to focus on recovery following the world economic downturn.

    But despite predictions of economic growth, many countries are still suffering from the effects of recession.
