Report slams French slimming drug
Mediator drug should have been banned 10 years before it actually was, report says.

An official report in France has found that the slimming drug Mediator should not have been prescribed after it was linked to heart problems.
The report by the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs says the drug, which has been blamed for more than 500 deaths, should have been banned 10 years before it actually was.
