Thousands of Roma fear eviction after French president vows to dismantle 300 camps.

    Thousands of Roma people in France are living under the constant threat of eviction after Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president, said he would dismantle 300 of their camps by the end of October.

    Sarkozy outlined a number of controversial measures against Roma and other immigrant communities last month, including revoking their citizenship.
