The Poetics of Negritude.
This film charts the work of Aime Cesaire, one of the founders of the negritude literary and philosophical movement in the 1930s. His work has been described as “a declaration of war” and belongs to a wave of anti-colonial thought that emerged as part of the struggle for independence.
