Leader of al-Qaeda killed in Pakistan

Barack Obama says that Osama bin Laden, the most-wanted fugitive on the US list, has been killed in a US operation.

    Osama bin Laden, leader of al-Qaeda, has been killed in the Pakistani city Abbottabad on Sunday in a US operation.

    Bin Laden was thought to be the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks on the US.
