China frets over US ties with Australia

As US co-operation with Canberra grows, Beijing increasingly suspicious of Washington's goals in Asia Pacific region.

    Barack Obama, the US president, says the Asia Pacific region is key to his country's future.

    But as co-operation with Australia grows, so does Chinese suspicion of US goals in the area.
