Ban on Thai politicians to be lifted

Suspensions end this week, setting the stage for the affected Thai Rak Thai party members to return to work.

    More than a hundred banned politicians in Thailand will soon be allowed to return to politics. Their suspensions are due to end on Wednesday.

    The members of the Thai Rak Thai party were forced to resign after the 2006 military coup.
