Amazon unveils TV streaming device

Online retail giant announces Internet video streaming device "Fire TV", as it joins home entertainment market.

    Amazon has unveiled its latest device as its plans to gain a foothold into the crowded home entertainment market.

    The online retailer has launched "Fire TV" an Internet-connected box that will stream video directly from the Internet to televisions.

    Competing with Apple TV, Roku and Google’s Chromecast, the new device is making traditional television broadcasters nervous.
