Venezuela barricades give focus to protests

Road blocks provide a meeting place for people to air their grievances and challenge the authorities.

    For three weeks thousands of students have been holding demonstrations across Venezuela.

    Most of the violence has played out around road blocks in several cities.

    The barricades have been central to the resistance, provide a meeting place for people to air their grievances and the scene of fierce battles between protesters and security forces.
